Early childhood stressors can profoundly affect information processing in our brains.  It is very common for small children to cope with stressful situations by limiting the amount of information they assimilate, partially shutting down the channels information flows in. At an early age there is very little downside in using this strategy to manage stress, however once academic learning begins this now automatic metering of information can cause problems. Examples of associated behaviors are ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, problems with memory and concentration or spelling and reading.  These accommodations will often follow a child through his or her lifetime, expending great effort and creativity on solutions to becomming successful.

Brain Integration Technique (BIT) developed from clinical research using Acupressure and Biofeedback to locate and examine these stress induced limitations. It was found that the brain begins to re-open blocked channels as soon as they are located with minimal further intervention. A simple analogy is that of resetting a blown circuit breaker in a house power panel. Experimentation led to a set of corrections that had the most direct effect on information processing and retention. These corrections specifically address neurology associated with academic performance and the results of BIT are demonstrated as greater success in school, the workplace, personal and professional relationships as well as the  experience of greater competency with less stress.

Using light touch, each correction can take just a few minutes to a half hour or longer. We do not engage in the prescription or recommendation of any pharmaceuticals, supplements or devices. To work through the the BIT corrections can take as little as 8 hours to 20 or more hours.  The results may be experienced immediately or over the course of the following months. Remedial tutoring may be required to bring a child up to grade level, however this is a permanent, self maintaining solution that does not require exercises or medication.
